BOOK/MOVIE COMPARISON
Ok so what I noticed most about the book compared to the movie is the book has ALOT more detail so you can really understand the way their love developed. second is they rearranged certain scenes or combined them together in the movie i'm sure so they could fit them in but all in all i like the movie. Did you?

Re: BOOK/MOVIE COMPARISON
I didn't like the movie at first. When I watched it I was expecting way too much. But after I watched it for the third time I finally decided I liked it. You're right though. It is nothing compared to the book. I also think that Edward needed to be, how can I put it, smoother. And their relationship just came out of know where in the movie. But in the book it was developed.

Re: BOOK/MOVIE COMPARISON
I know right. She just all of a sudden walks off into the forest and they somehow fall in love in those three minutes. What the hey?!?
Re: BOOK/MOVIE COMPARISON
LOL....a friend and I went to see it once at the theater (it was like my 5th time and her 4th i think) and we threw popcorn at the screen during one scene and yelled "that's not how it happened in the book." we got some laughs. I don't like how they changed what Bella wore to bed in the book she wears old sweats and a tshirt...the movie a shrot shirt and undies...now tell me would shy little Bella wear that when she shares a bathroom with her Dad and he could see her in it??? That's just not Bella-ish... But yeah I too wish they would have done the meadow scene like in the book. To me in the book Edward doesn't yell those lines...he says them with a kind of ironic tone kind of sad even...
Re: BOOK/MOVIE COMPARISON
Ya, they move way to fast in the movie.. What is funny is that some of the deleted scenes would have really helped that.. I hope they take there time with the next one, you really should rush perfection lol Did anyone else notice how many times Rob Pattinsons voice changed in the movie? lol In the meadow when he says...17... its all deep, then in the car when he is rescueing bella from the bad guys his voice goes all high and cracks with ..YOU put your seatbelt on! LOL sorry just something i noticed.. and he looked diffrent in scenes lol.. I guess with all the make up they had to use it couldnt be exactly the same everytime. ANyway, i do like the movie.. but i stop it now after the baseball scene.. i just dont like the confrontation much lol

Re: BOOK/MOVIE COMPARISON
You're so right. His voice does change. When Bella went and sat in her class with him and he said hello, I almost started laughing at the sound of his voice. It kinda makes me mad though. He is supposed to have this beautiful, smooth voice. But he doesn't in the movie....Well I don't think anyway. Another part I don't like is when they are leaving the baseball field and he is trying to strap her in and she yells at him. I was like wtf. That whole part they screwed up on.
Book/Movie
I liked the book way better then the movie. I just wished that they would have added more detail from the book into the movie. Don't get me wrong I love the movie and all but it could have been way better.

Re: BOOK/MOVIE COMPARISON
I noticed that people who saw the movie first loved it. And those who saw the movie after reading, didn't like it. A co-worker said that she saw the movie and she loved it and that is what got her started on the books. But my sister said that the books where really good. So I read them then decided to go watch the movie. I see that doing that might have been a mistake.
Re: BOOK/MOVIE COMPARISON
Iv'e noticed that too...the people who watched the movie first absolutely love it... i do love the movie and wish they could have been more from the book in the movie...question though....why did they change the Biology teachers name???
Re: BOOK/MOVIE COMPARISON

See I saw the movie first & yes I loved it BUT then I read the book & now i'm kinda disappointed that they left some great stuff out of the movie

Re: BOOK/MOVIE COMPARISON
Like I said, people who watched it loved it. I had to watch it three times before I decided I liked it. I figured by the third time I had to let go of the fact that it didn't match the movie and just enjoy the movie by itself. Does that make any sense?
Re: BOOK/MOVIE COMPARISON
Yep MAkes perfect sense to me. I think by the second time I went to see it...it just let go and enjoyed what they did do. Then watching the interview with Stephenie she was saying that some of their ideas were so great that she wished she had thought of them.
Re: BOOK/MOVIE COMPARISON
Most of the time the books do have more details than their movies do. My husband hates the movie and I just keep telling him that if he would just read the book he would better understand the story and be able to appreciate it more.Mrsc05-twilightaddict wrote:Ok so what I noticed most about the book compared to the movie is the book has ALOT more detail so you can really understand the way their love developed. second is they rearranged certain scenes or combined them together in the movie i'm sure so they could fit them in but all in all i like the movie. Re: BOOK/MOVIE COMPARISON
I watched the movie before I read the books and I agree that is why I ended up liking it so much. Everyone I knew that wanted to read the books and watch the movie, I told them to watch the movies first so they would have a better chance at liking it or else they would just be picking it apart the whole time. I wish I had been able to wait to read the rest of the books until their movies came out but I just didnt have the self-control to keep my addiction for Twilight under-control that long.Mrsc05-twilightaddict wrote:radiant_fiore wrote:I noticed that people who saw the movie first loved it. Nods her head wryly...yep it's a hard thing to do. My son has actually forbidden me from buying any more twilgiht stuff...i just laugh at him and ask him, "Who's money is it?"
Re: BOOK/MOVIE COMPARISON
Its crazy how something so little can cause such a sensation. Its like I cant get enough of it. I want to read the books all the time and when I am done I want to start over. I love watching the movie but my husband hates it so I dont get to watch it as often as I would like. I could just keep pressing play everytime its over and do nothing but watch it. Ugh its kind of annoying how it has gotten a grip on so many people and has them stuck. Just like the line Edward gives Bella, "Its my own personal brand of Herion."
Re: BOOK/MOVIE COMPARISON
Mine to and you know what I don't want to quit my addiction... i even have it on my ipod so that i can listen to it at work. It take most of the batery charge to listen to it one time....but it's worth it. And I also have the whole soundtrack there too. My fave song on it is SuperMassive Black Hole.
Re: BOOK/MOVIE COMPARISON
I also have the soundtrack on my ipod, but my husband likes the music from the movie. He loves Paramore. I really want to get the audio of the books on my ipod so I can listen to someone else reading them to me whenever I want and I wont have to hold anything or stop what I am doing. I can also plug it into my car and I would love to listen to them while I was driving.
Re: BOOK/MOVIE COMPARISON
I tried to get my boyfriend to read the book but he wouldn't even touch it. He believes that it may be written well, but he just isn't interested in the story.
Re: BOOK/MOVIE COMPARISON
Mine says he will listen to it on audio if I buy it but thats all I can get out of him. I made him listen to the Harry Potters on audio when they first started coming out as movies, and he liked it. The only difference now is that he actually likes the Harry Potter movies but he doesnt like the Twilight movie. He thinks it is terrible. The only parts he likes is the scenes with Alice and when they are playing baseball.
Re: BOOK/MOVIE COMPARISON
I just don't see this book as being a guy book. I mean maybe a sentimental guy. But it is a love story. And most guys hate to read that kind of stuff. My boyfriend likes to read more along the lines of crap like Dante's Infurno, or Jurassic Park. Not exactly the two most love story books.
Re: BOOK/MOVIE COMPARISON
Thats if i can get mine to read it at all LOL.. He likes the Left Behind books, and more action type books.. He started reading Twlight, but gave up lol Ohwell, These are my little secret pleasure! he can get his own! LOL

Re: BOOK/MOVIE COMPARISON
That's funny. I'll have to tell that to my boyfriend. Hehe. They are my secret pleasure aswell. Except he knows it. So when I finished the last book he went and bought me The Host. He says I'm even happier when I read her books.
