OMG it is so good. I would say it is as good as Twilight. I love her style of writing. It is about aliens taking over human bodies. But it is a romance. I know, it sounds weird. I give it 5 outta 5 stars.

Well I have to admit, I was cluess to the fact that there were even books!! My husband and I rented the movie one night and he was talking about some guys at his command had read the book and they didn't really like the movie. So he was expecting the movie to be "stupid" in his words lol. So when I watched the movie first I was like whoa!!!!! I've got to get the book. Then I found out there were 4 books.........and yeah.....read all 4 in less than 2 weeks. I loved the movie, but wish they would have put more in there from the book. I'm wondering how much they will leave out in New Moon?????????

Probably a lot of it. I heard that Twilight was only so bad because they only had a few months to shoot and they had a small budget to work with. They are not expecting New Moon or Eclipse to be any better since they only have 6 months to shoot each one so that the actors dont age to much.

i don't know if I believe what they say about the whole time. I mean, they threw in so many different things. Things that weren't even in the book they put in the movie. When they just could have made the scene right. Or at least close to right. But it shouldn't have been that hard.

I agree, some of the stuff they threw in there that wasnt in the book was kind of stupid too.

LOL. Thats not even how Bella sees Billy and Jacob for the first time in the book either. She runs into Jacob at the La Push Beach and he is described as looking a few years younger than her since he is supposed to be in the movie also, but Taylor Lautner looks like he is older than her. Jacob isnt supposed to look older until New Moon. They also changed how Angela felt about Eric since she doesnt like Eric in the book and wasnt to happy about going to the dance with him either. But in the movie she is telling Bella she wants to go with Eric but she doesnt think he is going to ask her so she ends up asking him.

Yeah there were just a lot of things I wish would have stayed the same as the book, even if they were little things. I know Stephanie was on set a lot of the time and if I wrote a book and they were making a movie from it I wouldn't like it being changed around a lot. Even if we were short on money at least leave minor details out but keep with the story line ya know.

compared to the books, the movie wasn't amazing, since we all know how good the books are.. I wasn't expecting more though, it was a good movie, it just didn't compare to the books. Smile

I think if I had the read the books and then watched the movie I wouldnt have liked the movie at all. Its bad enough that when I watch it now I am constantly picking it apart, and I notice something different from the book every time I watch it.

Well, the funny thing abuot the movie is, in a interiveiw stephanie said there were actually changes she wishes were what she had originally wrote.I dont know which parts, but she was really involved with it so she probably let alot more happen diffrently then we think. I dont know why they culdnt follow it exactly lol I mean a script is about as long as the book is lol why cant they just follow it! I dont know anything about screenplay writing or moving making, but it seems like a good idea!

Why would she want anything in the book to be different? I think the books are PERFECT! Nothing should be different, I cant imagine them being any different either. Stephenie is really good at detail when she writes. I wonder if all her books are as detailed as the Twilight books.

She wanted to add the scene where Bella was dreaming and woke up, saw Edward, turned on the light and then he was gone.

And I think another scene she wishes she had thought of was Edward climbing the trees with Bella. But it is the little things they changed that drive me nuts...the color if the kitchen(paint costs the same amount no matter what color you get) and the Bio teachers name (no cost there)...the fact that she has gym before bio and met mike before Jessica.

That's one thing that gets me. I don't understand how Stephanie could say that the movie was good. And how she could say she took part in it. If you ask me, she is just saying those things to get some viewers. It just doesn't make any sense.

True....but maybe to her the changes were insignificant...i know in one of the interviews on the movie she was saying that some of what she wrote wouldn't have "translated all that well" from book to movie...having no clue about filming she may have been told this and believed it. Because I can't think of anything in the book that couldn't have been done on film. I realize that some of the scenes would have been to long or dragged on in movie context but they could have been condenced or something.

I think they should have found a better house for the Cullens. How many time did she talk about the white on white decor? Most of the house was paneling?!?!? The outside also was supposed to be white but instead it was brown. Also when she was supposed to go to Seattle instead of the prom why would they change that to Jacksonville? It makes more sense to me that she would be going to Seattle for the day. There a lot of little things in the movie that bug me.

yEah and then she actually does go to the prom (making her out to be a liar), after she told Mike she had a non-refundable ticket and that's why she wasn't going to go to the prom...

The house was one thing that bugged me as well. It was supposed to be an old house. They made everything modern. Which was a major mistake. When she described it in the book I could see it so clearly.

Yeah I noticed the house too....i bugged more that it wasn't white then the fact that is was supposed to be older...timeless. I suppose they had to make do with what they could find though. Maybe it was the only house they could find that had a lot of windows or had three floors.

Has anyone else ever noticed that when Alice and Bella are talking in the hotel room Alice tells Bella thae Esme and Rosalie were supposed to lead Victoria WEST as long as they could keep her behind them....heading West they would only be able to go about 15-30 miles before hitting the ocean...La Push is only 15.3 miles from Forks and that's taking a very winding road...

Yeah, I definitly liked the house in the book better. The house in the movie was pretty, but nothing close to the book....when I read it I seem to see the house in the movie and have to correct my imagination and it confuses me lol

I wonder how they are goin to do the house scenes for the future movies.. a TON of time was spent in the house in eclipse and breaking dawn.. The house in the movie belonged to someone, they just loaned it to them for a while lol.. I mean, cool if they can borrow it again and again, but that would get really old for the home owner.. They should have just built the freakin house lol.. its not like they dont have the money to lol.. then sell it after wards.. the house sounds really great, im sure someone would love to buy it! Maybe some rich guys daughter whos obsessed with the books.. that would be a sweet bday gift lol
